![]() ![]() ![]() Since one of the people I plan to set up with this system exclusively uses their phone to access the internet and the rest mostly use their phones, this wouldn't be realistic anyways. My understanding is that the idea of separating that sort of thing from the passwords would only provide increased security in the event that the passwords themselves weren't stored on the same device, which is unfeasible for a number of reasons. It would be stored in a secure location, to be used in the event that one of the other keys is lost or damaged.Ä«itwarden would be used to store regular TOTP authentication for other sites. The blue one? This would be fine because it would only be used as a shared emergency backup for the critical accounts mentioned above, which the older keys can do just fine for these services. One of the cheaper, older version of the Yubikey as a backup. These would be used for Bitwarden, email, and other critical accounts (That support it, of course). One Yubikey for each of the people that would be using this system. So, based on the research I've done so far, it sounds like the following setup is the ideal plan for the situation my family would be in: I'm a little new to this sort of thing though so I figured I'd run some questions by this subreddit to make sure I have the right idea. Hello, r/Bitwarden! I've been looking into Bitwarden as an account security scheme for some family members lately, after hearing some very good things about it, and I feel like it might just be the thing they need to improve their online security. ![]()
